The Long Game is a podcast about how we can build a stronger future through science, healthtech, and innovation. We are Sandy Weir and Ross Cagan, and every week we explore how to move ideas from the laboratory to people, and building a strong home-grown biotech economy.

Sandy brings experience in technology, innovation and strategic delivery. Ross is Regius Professor of Precision Medicine at the University of Glasgow whose teams build new therapies for cancer and rare diseases. Together, we discuss topics ranging from gene editing and biomanufacturing to AI in drug discovery and patient care, while making the science, the investment case and the policy choices clear to a broad audience.

We believe Scotland’s economic future is closely tied to improving health and serving patients better. This will require patience, clear thinking, and steady progress.
